Chronic Morel‐Lavallée Lesion Treated With Percutaneous Ultrasonic Debridement
1 Introduction Morel-Lavallée lesion, first described by Dr. Victor-Auguste-François Morel-Lavallée in 1863, is a degloving injury arising from traumatic shearing forces (Morel-Lavallée 1863). Acutely, a fluid-filled cavity is formed in the prefascial plane after separation of the subcutaneous tissues from underlying fascial layers. BIBFRAME without BIBFRAME: The infrastructure of next-generation cataloging workflows
ABSTRACT At the outset of the BIBFRAME project the Library of Congress published a document outlining the workflows that it envisioned would be enabled by using RDF-based linked bibliographic metadata over MARC records. Xylazine-associated Musculoskeletal Imaging Findings
Xylazine, a nonopioid sedative, is an increasingly misused illicit substance detected in toxicology samples across the United States and Europe (1–3), which is often injected recreationally to enhance the effects of fentanyl and heroin (4). Injection of xylazine causes direct vasoconstriction, leading to decreased skin perfusion, tissue necrosis, and poor wound healing (5).
Heterotopic Pancreatitis
Heterotopic pancreas is a rare congenital condition in which pancreatic tissue deposits abnormally outside the pancreas (1). Heterotopic pancreas is a migration-type congenital anomaly (1). Although the embryologic mechanism is still unclear, three prevailing theories have been proposed: the misplacement, metaplasia, and totipotent cell theories (1–3).
