Transforming Healthcare Interoperability With AI: Can Your Integration Engine Keep Up?
Across the country, healthcare leaders are ramping up IT investments, especially around interoperability. But they often forget that the most important technology an organization can possess to ensure interoperability is the right integration engine. Without a clear view of the functionality needed, hospitals will struggle to support advanced data-exchange goals. Despite tremendous progress toward healthcare information sharing, barriers to healthcare data access and exchange continue to exist.
3 Ways to Leverage RPA for Greater Value: Lessons from Healthcare
Despite assertions that healthcare is “burned out on talking about burnout,” the HIMSS 2023 presentations that have kept attendees talking long after the sessions ended included those that use automation to relieve workforce pressures. From ways to support smarter, more seamless discharge to remote check-ins with tonsillectomy patients, use cases for automation ramped up considerably during the pandemic.

J2 Global takes up the cause for cloud fax technology on Capitol Hill
Sponsored Content By Recently, I had the honor of traveling to Washington D.C. to speak on behalf of a substantive and important policy issue, digital cloud fax technology (DCFT) and interoperability in the health care industry. Federal officials are on a mission to create a seamless exchange of personal health information (PHI) and electronic health records (EHR). That's the layman's definition of interoperability.

Fax Is Not a Machine, It Is a Technology
Once more I am listening to a presentation on interoperability. These always get a little uncomfortable - especially in the early going - because I can almost predict where the presenter will go horribly wrong and do a complete disservice to the audience (generally somewhere between slides 3 and 8). This time it was slide 6 where the speaker inserts stock picture of a decrepit old fax machine with paper cascading off a desk and onto the floor.
Health IT Interoperability Reimagined!
By John Nebergall | July 19, 2018 Interoperability with CloudFaxing The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) set a vision and goal by 2024 to make healthcare interoperability a reality. A greater push for Electronic Health Record (EHR) interoperability would improve workflows and allow for faster, improved communication between medical practices around the world.
Fax Technology is the Cornerstone of Interoperability. Here's Why.
Fax is the dominant information exchange technology in U.S. healthcare, outpacing secure direct messaging 25-to-1. Most of that is exchanged using inefficient and unsecure machines. With the emergence of cloud-based fax technology to facilitate secure system-to-system document transfer, the use of cloud fax needs to be part of every CTO's/CIO's digital strategy.
