I am currently a freelancer who covers primarily Major League Baseball but also does NFL and NHL. I have been covering sports since I was 14 years old and spent 22 seasons covering the Pittsburgh Pirates on a regular basis from 1988-2009. I have won multiple APSE awards for game stories and features and was named the 2000 Baseball Writer of the Year by SportsTalk.com (now ESPN Insider).
