Tesla Sales Plummet 23% in November Despite Cheaper Model Y and 3
According to sales data from Cox, sales of Tesla vehicles fell to 39,800 units in November. That marks a 23-percent fall from the same month last year when Tesla sold 51,513 units and the lowest monthly total since January 2022. This significant sales fall has occurred despite the EV manufacturer launching cheaper versions of its Model Y and Model 3 in October.

Stellantis has announced it will sell the tiny electric Fiat Topolino city car in the U.S. Fiat CEO Olivier François confirmed the news at Art Week Miami where he was debuting a one-of-one Topolino art car. Genesis has become quite successful as an upstart luxury automaker, and much of that has to do with its beautiful designs. Its entire lineup of cars and SUVs shares a boldly attractive visual language that looks good from every angle and in every light. Its choice of paint colors, however, has proven to be a problem. The Genesis G90 is being recalled over its Highway Drive Assist (HDA) system, which under normal operation allows for low-level autonomous driving.

Tesla Model Y Ranked Worst In Reliability By German TÜV Report
The Tesla name has never been synonymous with build quality, but a damning report out of Germany just comes right out and says it: the Model Y has terrible reliability. Technischer Überwachungsverein of Germany, or TÜV for short, has published its 2026 reliability report, which says the Tesla Model Y has a 17.3-percent defect rate for cars 2 to 3 years old. That's the worst reliability rating TÜV has seen in the last 10 years.
Ford CEO Hints at Possible Return of Sedans, Reveals Reason for Past Cancellation
Well-known automotive influencer Forrest Jones recently published an interview with Jim Farley in which the Ford CEO asked if the host's audience would like a rear-wheel-drive, high-performance, affordable electric sedan based on the same $30,000 skunkworks platform being developed right now for an electric truck. According to Farley, a sedan's silhouette is aerodynamically clean, which would lend itself well to electrification.

We now have pricing for the totally redesigned sixth-generation Toyota RAV4 for 2026. Ancient Monument Damaged In Failed SUV Stunt: What Went Wrong?
A publicity stunt in China went horribly wrong when an SUV slid backwards on the Tianmen Mountain "Sky Ladder" steps and smashed into guardrails, damaging the ancient monument. Nobody was injured, thankfully, but bystanders, who were not allowed on the steps while the event was going on, captured video of the moment the SUV ran into trouble. The monument, located in Tianmen Mountain National Park, is a stone staircase comprised of 999 steps.

The mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette C8 has overtaken its predecessor, the front-engine C7, in sales after six years on the market. The C7, which was the seventh and final generation of front-engine Corvettes, sold a grand total of 189,507 units in its half a dozen years on sale. The C8, meanwhile, has racked up 194,969 sales in the same amount of time, beating the C7 by 5,462 units. The C8 won't stop there, either.

Tesla has introduced a rental program for customers that offers the use of one of its cars for three to seven days starting at just $60 per day, plus taxes and fees. Ford Patent Puts Facial Recognition To Good Use — For Dogs
Not being able to find your pet is one of those gut-wrenching feelings only reunification can fix. Fortunately, Ford has filed a patent to use the technology in its cars to help owners and their pets find each other when the latter wanders off. Ford Pauses F-150 Lightning Production Amid Aluminum Shortage
In the wake of a factory fire at one of Ford's biggest aluminum suppliers, the automaker has decided to stop producing its F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck. At least for now. As it begins to ramp up its truck production following the fire at a Novelis aluminum plant on September 16, Ford will instead boost the number of gas-powered and hybrid F-150 models it builds to make up for the lost production.

Porsche has filed a patent for a new W12 engine it's developing that employs a unique configuration. The Volkswagen Group is no stranger to oddly configured W12 engines, of course. The iconic Bentley 6.0-liter W12 ended production earlier this year after serving smiles for decades. Whereas that W12 was created by marrying two narrow-angle VR6 engines from Volkswagen at the crankshaft, Porsche's new design features three banks of cylinders.

A Black Swan Song For Volvo's Iconic Wagon
The final Volvo V90 has been built at the company's manufacturing facility in Torslanda, Sweden. Fittingly, the car is finished in black. The ebony station wagon isn't headed to a collector's private collection, though. In fact, it isn't being sold at all. Instead, the company is keeping the car for itself and placing it in the Volvo Heritage Collection, which can be viewed at the World of Volvo experience center in Gothenburg.
America's Cheapest Long-Range EV Is Back With A Vengeance
Chevrolet hosted an event on Wednesday, during which it debuted the sort-of-all-new 2027 Bolt. The prior Bolt was produced from 2017 to 2023 and had a reputation as the most affordable long-range EV you could buy in the U.S. It's taken a few years off so that Chevrolet could upgrade its battery, among other things, and it returns for 2027 with largely the same design and packaging as the previous Bolt EUV. Sorry folks, the original Bolt hatchback appears to be gone for good.
