REVIEW: Resident Evil & Discord Brought Raccoon City to San Diego Comic-Con 2026
One of the last offsites to formally announce their presence at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 was the Resident Evil x Discord Fan Experience in support of the upcoming Zach Cregger film coming out on September 18 from Sony. The Experience was revealed and reservations made available on a Monday, a mere two days before Preview Night; the event ran from Thursday to Saturday at Quartyard (1301 Market Street), home to 2025’s South Park offsite.
Under the Tents 2026: Jim Lee, The Legend of Zelda, Warbird, Panel Swag, Rhode Montijo
I’m short on time. You’re short on time. We’re all short on time before San Diego Comic-Con 2026. Plus, I’m battling some pre-con crud which, while not ideal, certainly beats con crud. My immune system is going to be STRONG next week. If you want to take a break from mapping out the optimal route from an offsite to a panel room to a booth — or is that just me? — here’s the latest roundup of the rest of the news that’s fit to print post on social media.
San Diego Comic-Con 2026 Panel Swag and Giveaways Guide and Schedule [UPDATE July 22]
Skip to content 4:22 am Welcome to our San Diego Comic-Con 2026 Panel Swag and Giveaways Guide and Schedule! Once you’ve spent hundreds (or thousands) of dollars on a badge, lodging, transportation, parking, food, etc. to attend San Diego Comic-Con, “free” stuff might not actually feel all that free. Still, walking away with something extra just for attending a panel is a long-standing SDCC tradition and one of the better feelings attendees can experience.

Under the Tents 2026: X-Men '97, Lady Death, Absolute Batman, Super7, Tehani Farr, nooligan
I am reporting to you LIVE as I try to climb out from underneath the piles of endless post-July 4th announcements for San Diego Comic-Con 2026. Once again, the news is coming fast and furious after Independence Day, and any pre-holiday feelings of SDCC-related news and announcements feeling light and/or slow is turning out to be a bigger mirage than the USMNT at this year’s World Cup, amirite??? Sports, huh???
Under the Tents 2026: Absolute Batman, STEAM Room, Geeky Hooker, Danny Trejo, Kotobukiya
In a mere, exactly three weeks, as this is being published, we will be deep in the throes of the first full day of San Diego Comic-Con 2026. AWESOME! What will attendees get when they step right up and spin the SDCC Thursday prize wheel? An offsite reservation? An exclusive? A front-row panel seat? A celebrity sighting? A Prize Mule drop? A surprise guest or announcement? A signing wristband? A giveaway? A daily steps allotment? Perhaps even… sleep?????
Under the Tents 2026: Nan Hockin, Minor Threats, Labyrinth, Joyce Chin
I know Obsession is so last month, but I was wondering recently if there was an SDCC-related application of the One Wish Willow that would NOT have catastrophic or unintended consequences. There’s got to be something… I mean, what’s the “Nikki screaming in a diner” equivalent to wishing for guaranteed offsite reservations??? Makes you think.
Under the Tents 2026: Beast Kingdom, Dungeon Crawler Carl, Pudgy Penguins, Patrick Ballesteros
No SDCC news in the past week spoke to me more than the official reveal of the annual Blood Drive shirt. Unfortunately, the MCU-sponsored shirt streak is sadly broken, I guess, because this year’s summer MCU pic, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is Sony and not Disney? Oh well, Spidey is Spidey. I always appreciate my annual free t-shirt wardrobe update, courtesy of the Blood Drive and whatever the rest of SDCC will have in store.
Under the Tents 2026: CCI-IFF, Dungeon Crawler Carl, Julie Vu, Panel Confirmations
Skip to content 1:34 pm Hope everyone is having a…. well, if not a great Memorial Day weekend, then at least a not-terrible one. Admittedly, it’s a low bar to clear, but I’ll take any small victory these days. Hey, here’s something that’ll pick all of you up: we are now officially in “less than two months to go until San Diego Comic-Con 2026” territory! So here’s the latest roundup of news that’s fit to print post on social media.
Under the Tents 2026: Crochet Drops, Lumpia Con, Collider, Ignition Press, Chris Maze
While this may be the first Under the Tents of May 2026, please look somewhere else for your “It’s Gonna Be May” and “May the 4th Be with You” content! Here’s the latest roundup of news that’s fit to print post on social media, as we have fully breached the “less than 3 months to go until SDCC 2026” barrier.
REVIEW: Uneven Debuts for Thrilljoy and Rokimoto Events at San Diego Comic-Con 2025
A Funko executive leaves and launches a new vinyl figure collectible company shortly after. His new company decides to hold its first San Diego Comic-Con event in 2025, the same year his former employer moves Funko Fundays from SDCC to Los Angeles. This first event is hosted at the InterContinental Hotel on the same night that a Funko Fundays was held during SDCC 2024. Yep, that’s Brian Mariotti and Thrilljoy’s Block Party Boardwalk Bash on Friday, July 25, at Lane Field Park behind the hotel.
REVIEW: Paramount+'s The Lodge Anchors the Offsite Scene at San Diego Comic-Con 2025
Allow me to do a tortured sportsball metaphor. There is the idea of floors and ceilings when it comes to drafting players (be it real-life or fantasy). A low-floor, high-ceiling player has a wide range of expected outcomes: you’re hoping for the best outcome, but know there’s a chance it can be the worst outcome. Conversely, a high-floor, low-ceiling player brings a narrower range of outcomes: you’re fine ruling the best outcome out if it means ruling the worst outcome out.
Under the Tents 2025: StylinBoxes, Danny Trejo, Veve, Comic-Con: The Cruise, Kevin Smith Hall H Friday
With absolutely no regrets whatsoever, I am announcing this will be the final edition of Under the Tents 2025. Our team will still be updating other posts as news trickles in over the next few days – ANY DAY NOW, MARVEL BOOTH – but this will be the last roundup of the “best of the rest.” We’ve all got the same place to be in a few days. Let’s just get there, already.

San Diego Comic-Con brings some amazing talent to its hallowed halls of geekdom, from artists and authors to comics and celebrity entertainment. Welcome to our San Diego Comic-Con 2025 Panel Swag and Giveaways Schedule and Guide. Once you’ve spent hundreds (or thousands) of dollars on a badge, lodging, transportation, parking, food, etc. to attend San Diego Comic-Con, “free” stuff might not actually feel all that free. Under the Tents 2025: Collector Cave, Jim Cummings, Kevin Meinert, Bill Sienkiewicz
For many in the U.S., Independence Day was a day off work and a time for barbecues, hot dogs, fireworks, and baseball games. But for us true SDCC sickos, we know July 4 tends to serve as an unofficial last “quiet day” of the year. Post-July 4 tends to be the launching point for the final push of information and announcements.
Under the Tents 2025: Frank Miller, Rob Liefeld, California Browncoats, Stephanie Williams
Hello there! All the San Diego Comic-Con announcements that have been rolling in this week are almost as overwhelming as this heatwave.
Under the Tents 2025: McFarlane Toys, Magic: The Gathering + Avatar, James Silvani, Ming Chen
Well, it’s officially summer, which means we can finally say: San Diego Comic-Con 2025 is this SEASON! Okay, that doesn’t really have the same oomph to it as “SDCC 2025 is less than five weeks away,” huh?
REVIEW: 2024's Paramount+ The Lodge Was a Solid Sequel That Didn't Quite Match 2023's Version
In its first iteration at San Diego Comic-Con 2023, the Paramount+ Lodge was a rousing success, boasting multiple elements crucial to making or breaking an offsite: reservations (with an ample 50-minute length), solid capacity, free food and drinks, swag, and an ideal location (Happy Does Bar on 340 5th Avenue, two blocks north of the Gaslamp Quarter arch).
San Diego Comic-Con 2024 Panel Swag and Giveaway Guide [UPDATE July 16]
Skip to content 1:34 pm Once you’ve spent hundreds (or thousands) on a badge, lodging, transportation, parking, food, etc. for San Diego Comic-Con, “free” stuff might not actually feel all that free. Still, walking away with a little something extra for attending a panel is a long-standing SDCC tradition and one of the better feelings attendees can experience.
Under the Tents 2024: Loungefly, Star Wars Unlimited, Chrissie Zullo Uminga, Dan Veesenmeyer, Tiny Ghost
Oh, thank heavens for 7-Eleven! For those in the United States, don’t forget to swing by your local store on this here July 11 and grab your free Slurpee to keep cool, because it’s a hot one out there. Speaking of things heating up, we now stand exactly two weeks away from the first full day of San Diego Comic-Con 2024. Every year, it seems like post-July 4 is when studios, exhibitors, and artists collectively decide to turn a trickle of news into an absolute torrential downpour.

REVIEW: "Step Into Jurassic Park" at San Diego Comic-Con 2023 Left Us Wanting More
During Friday and Saturday of San Diego Comic-Con 2023, Universal Products & Experiences and Amblin Entertainment brought the “Step into Jurassic Park” offsite as part of an ongoing Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary celebration. Fans were able to sign up in advance for time slots every 20 minutes to take part in the experience, with a standby option available for those who were unsuccessful in grabbing a reservation.
San Diego Comic-Con 2023 Panels with Swag and Giveaways
Once you’ve spent hundreds or thousands on a badge, lodging, transportation, parking, food, etc., “free” stuff at San Diego Comic-Con 2023 might not actually feel all *that* free. Still, walking away with something extra for attending a panel is a long-standing SDCC tradition and one of the better feelings attendees can experience. We’ve gone over the entire panel schedule and read every description cover to cover.
Under the Tents 2023: DC Manga, Hugh Howey, Martin Hsu, Jimmy Palmiotti
Patience has never been a San Diego Comic-Con attendee’s strongest suit in waiting for announcements to come in, even though long-time attendees know the pace of news is uneven (at best) leading up to that wonderful late July weekend: a few droplets through April, a drizzle in May, a steady downpour in June, then an absolute torrential storm in July.
Funko Fan Rewards Program Offers San Diego Comic-Con 2023 Perks
Funko’s Fan Club — a loyalty program that’s free to sign up for and gives you points for performing certain actions (including watching videos, following all accounts in all social media, connecting your social media accounts, visiting select websites, and more) — is now offering several San Diego Comic-Con perks.
Under the Tents 2023: MEGALITH, Geeky Hooker, Locke & Key, Our Flag Means Death
Greetings! Hopefully you found some time during the weekend to make it out to your local comic shop (or shops, if you’re feeling frisky) for this year’s Free Comic Book Day. However, whether you did or not, there’s never a bad day to show some support, love, and appreciation to your neighborhood stores the rest of the year. Meanwhile, San Diego Comic-Con news season rolls on like a boulder going downhill.
Under the Tents 2023: The Loyal Subjects, Voodoo Ranger, Neopets, Bill Griffith
What with Hotelpocalypse stirring most people from their SDCC planning hibernation and the fact that we’re officially less than three months away from San Diego Comic-Con 2023, it sure feels like con season is officially upon us, huh? Congratulations to those who know where you’re sleeping, and best of luck to those still looking for a spot when sales open up again on April 25.
