I'm a staff writer for Land Lines, the magazine of the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy in Cambridge, Mass., and author of Home Buying 101, published by Simon & Schuster. I'm also an award-winning freelance writer specializing in real estate and housing, travel, climate change, and op-eds. I've freelanced most frequently for the Boston Globe and Boston Globe Magazine; other bylines have included Apartment Therapy, Mommy Poppins, and Boston Magazine.

I'm also a part-time stay-at-home dad, a bit of a washed-up musician, and founder of House and Hammer, an award-winning blog about real estate and home improvement.
