Jon King’s Biography

Jon King has been a journalist for more than 35 years, having worked at WXYT & WWJ in Detroit before becoming News Director at WHMI, where he helmed an award-winning department from 2002 to 2022, while also co-hosting Mike & Jon in the Morning. After freelancing for two years, he became the Senior Reporter for the Michigan Advance in November 2023. He was then promoted in March 2025 to Editor-in-Chief.
