Who do you wish followed you?
My dog. Seriously, he is a beagle and his nose rules his every function in life. I love him to death, but he's got a mind of his own.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I didn't, but I did create a middle school newsletter that was distributed to the entire school. Sports, Classifieds, and Current Events!
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
When a reader reaches out to me to let me know that they've put one of my tips into action, it's the absolute best feeling in the world!
When's the best time to pitch you?
I think the better answer is that there's no BAD time to pitch me. If you need something written, throw me a pitch!
What's the best pitch you ever got?
A fastball right down the middle :) In all seriousness, one where I could really pull on my expertise of miles and points.
What's your favorite drink?
Aperol Spritz
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In a First Class seat, most likely on Alaska Airlines or one of their partners.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
In the miles and points space, I love the way that The Frequent Miler lays out a framework for even the most novice earner to start.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That you can't afford to travel in first class or stay in luxury hotels if you're just an average earner. We love teaching everyone how-to!
