What is known about the topic Estimating weights in patients in healthcare is challenging and includes high error margins. Previous ICU studies were small. What this paper adds Staff estimates of ICU patient weights are inaccurate. If patients are able they are much more accurate than staff at estimating their weight. Ideal and Predicted Body Weight are far less accurate at estimating Actual Body Weight than staff.
