INTRODUCTION Biodiversity plays a critical role in supporting ecosystem services and is of high cultural and intrinsic value to humanity worldwide. Increased biodiversity can bolster ecosystem resilience to environmental change through increased adaptive capacity from genetic diversity (Ehlers et al., 2008; Liu et al., 2022) and increased redundancy within functional groups (Isbell et al., 2015; Oliver et al., 2015; Peterson et al., 1998).
