Jonathan Marsico

Jonathan Marsico is an acrylic painter, who is considered one of the Color Field Painting most iconic artists. This painter has faced criticism over the course of his life and had ti defend the modernity of his paintings.

The talented painter always maintained respect for what he wanted to do, in a world where art was increasingly abstract, changing and conceptual.

Combining his talent, technique and training, together with an unlimited admiration for the work of the classics, Marsico creates dazzling paintings that take us out of our comfort zone.

Marsico was born in 1971 in Denver, Colorado. From an early age, the young Jonathan showed interest for painting.
Nevertheless, Marsico took the decision to study law at the Sturm College of Law of University of Denver. He graduated and obtained a Bachelor’s degree.

Because law was not Marsico’s true passion, he decided to start his art studies at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. From this university, Marsico holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts (BFA) degree with magna cum laude honors.

The paintings of Jonathan Marsico have been exhibited at some of the most famous galleries across the USA and Europe.
