A lawyer by training, journalist by vocation, and an aspiring English teacher – that’s me in a nutshell!
I am currently a freelance media and content consultant for various clients, where I write and disseminate press releases, compile media coverage, and conceptualise/create social media content as well as full production videos.
Previously, I was the Head of Content and Business for Golf Matters, a Malaysian-based digital media under the MST Golf Group of companies. I oversaw the content and commercial aspects for the website www.golfmatters.com, and headed the video production and content creation team. I also assisted the group with media and public relations, which includes writing and disseminating press releases, liaising with media partners, and entertaining key industry leaders.
Prior to that, I was the Editor and subsequently Managing Editor of ParGolf Magazine, overseeing the print, online and social media presences of the magazine, as well as the company’s public relations, contract publishing and content provision services.
From 2020 to 2021, I also served as consultant and co-host for AP Digital Media’s popular Facebook Live show, The Sweet Spot by Gila Golfers.
While my inter-personal skills are old school (I love talking and getting to know people!), I’ve built up a strong social media presence over the years and am well-established in the golf and travel industries.
