They thought they were 2-0 up ahead shortly after when former City striker Ferran Torres tapped in but was shown to be offside.
City win eight-goal thriller to move clear at the top of the Premier League Original
Man of the match Enzo Fernández with his first City goal and Rayan Cherki twice put us in front in the opening half-hour but Brian Brobbey equalised almost instantly both times. Antoine Semenyo then struck either side of half-time to put us two goals clear before Brobbey completed his hat-trick to keep the Black Cats in the game. But with six minutes remaining Erling Haaland turned in a cross from Joško Gvardiol with the goal standing after a VAR intervention.

One moment in time: Toure turns the title race Original
Manuel Pellegrini’s side were at the business end of a tight title race with Liverpool when we faced the Eagles. The Reds had to win their final three games of the season to pip Manchester City to the title but that all change on a dramatic Sunday with two weeks of the season remaining. While City were preparing for a tricky game in London, Liverpool were facing a much-changed Chelsea team with many of their players rested for a Champions League semi-final second leg with Atletico Madrid.

Walks: Exploring Roseldale in the heart of the North York Moors
THERE is something very English about Rosedale on the North York Moors. It is also mostly quiet walking. The low level moors and dale floor combine with the industrial remains of the lead mining industry to offer a pleasant day to explore. The village green at Rosedale Abbey is the best place to start the walk. The first thing to note is that there is no abbey and never was in Rosedale. However, a Cistercian priory did exist.

Commensal bacteria inhibit viral infections via a tryptophan metabolite
|
Abstract Clinical outcomes following viral exposures exhibit substantial interindividual variability. Although developing evidence suggests commensal bacteria modulate viral infections, the specific bacteria and mechanisms remain underexplored. Here, we define a pathway by which viral infections are inhibited by specific tryptophan-catabolizing bacteria. Using HIV as a model, we bioinformatically associated and experimentally validated several bacterial species that inhibited viral replication.

Rodri helps Spain into World Cup semi-final Original
But it meant the end of the tournament for his City team-mate Jeremy Doku as the Red Devils conceded an 88th minute winner. Mikel Merino pounced on a spill from substitute goalkeeper Senne Lammens to fire Spain into just their second-ever World Cup semi-final. Rodri dictated the game from the centre of the pitch and La Roja were ahead on the half-hour mark when a quick one-two between Lamine Yamal and Pedro Porro allowed the full-back to pull the back for Dani Olmo.

Weekend walk takes in 'finest mountain' with incredible views and pubs and cafes
INGLEBOROUGH may only be the second highest mountain in the Yorkshire Dales (Whernside is the highest) but it is the finest, at least in my humble opinion. This route provides the most straightforward climb, from Ingleton but captures much of its appeal. The walk starts roadside on the B6255 which runs from Ingleton to Ribblehead. The start is through open sheep countryside on a wide bridleway. After half a mile the track becomes a lane enclosed on each side by stone walls.
