What was your first job as a journalist?
My first article was a one-off for San Diego's Locale magazine, with the title being "A Brief Guide to Eating in Northern Baja California."
What does it mean to be a journalist?
I believe two major factors are to report hard facts regardless of the consequences, and to be transparent about one's sources.
Why did you become a journalist?
Since childhood, I have reveled in learning new ideas, concepts, and most importantly, facts. Sharing knowledge is my biggest motivator.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Either attempting to read a Chinese or Japanese newspaper, or eating something!
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
In general, The Economist for covering articles from all over the world, and ArchDaily, for my armchair architecture hobby.
