Gone Viral: JJ Dubec's Nissan GT-R
Photography by Marcel Lech Photography Everyone wants a piece of this car. It’s spreading like a virus. Just ask the lineup of photographers who caught the bug and were begging to shoot it. It’s a Godzilla, it’s a Liberty Walk. It’s the marriage of the two perfect specimens. As a Canadian car, it’s one of only two LBs, and undoubtedly the finest. When we first found it, Dr. J.J. Dubec’s monster was but a shadow of what you see today.
Crouching Stallion, Hidden Monster: JJ Dubec's Ferrari 458
Photos by John Neaime Coming off of his R35 GT-R refresh that features a shiny new wrap and a set of deep-dish Sky Forged S208 wheels, JJ Dubec’s newest endeavor has him going big. Real big! With a strong team of builders, suppliers, and a host of fans clamoring over his social media teasers, JJ dropped the bomb recently on his brand-new, scrapingly-low Ferrari 458.
Rank and File: Behind the Scenes of Show Judging
We all know the blood, sweat and tears that go into making a car your own. The countless nights of analyzing parts, swapping, tailoring and tuning them to make sure that everything works — and more importantly — works well while looking good. If you’re the show-car type, you know the added attention to detail and financial and emotional investment that comes with having your decision and craftsmanship judged.
No Joke: Amper Kettutat's 2006 Nissan 350z
Written by Jordan Lenssen. Photos by KC Image | 26 May 2015 No joke. That might as well be the license plate for Amper Kettutat’s 350Z, although his choice for “WILD-Z” serves onlookers the details just as well. Sticker-bombed tires, yellow headlights, an authentic NISMO V2 body kit, Work Meister wheels and a ridiculous amount of JDM components are but a hint at what’s done inside – both under the hood and in the trunk. Where do we start? For starters, his 550 horse power plant has it all.
Fit and Finish: Reginald Cunanan's 2011 Mitsubishi Evolution X
Written by by Jordan Lenssen. Photos by Lauder Corea | 06 August 2015 It's easy to see why Reginald Cunanan's Evo captured the TBG: Live title at SPOCOM: Anaheim last year. The fit, the finish, and the color choices play perfectly off of each other. Originally looking at an Evo 9, he took the advice of those around him to drop the extra dough for a 10, and it was a game-winning decision.
All Black Everything: Tyler Pflanz's 1993 Toyota Supra
All business. It's immediately evident that Tyler Pflanz’s Supra speaks for itself. It’s a tuner’s dream and the competition’s worst nightmare. The black on black on black hides some of the finer details, but when it comes to a Supra, that’s just the way you want it. The car has a history for a reason, and Pflanz set out to take that platform and somehow push it to the next level.
Vaughn Gittin Jr's 2015 Mustang RTR Spec 5 Concept
The 2015 Mustang has been all the rage since being officially launched in September, 2014. The bolder lines, standard selectable drive modes, all-new 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four and fully-independent rear suspension have made this the ultimate muscle car for the 21st century. Being a previous Mustang owner and having test driven the 2015 2.3-liter and, more extensively, the GT Performance Package in California late last year, I can easily vouch that this is a Mustang like no other.
Project Ground Pounder: Dimitriadis Completes the "Big Brute"
Sleepers. You can’t pick ‘em out from a crowd. They look like your everyday rides. Perhaps they’ve got a set of wheels, some suspension work, or a loud set of pipes, but their intention is to creep out from the woodwork and just obliterate any overly enthusiastic competitors. Case in point, George Dimitriadis’ 2005 Hummer H2 is a beast – without any work.

One Love: RWBHK's 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 964
In the heart of Chiba, Japan lies a shop completely unbeknownst to the untold eye. Operating as the workplace, and often, sleeping quarters of RWB founder, Akira Nakai, its downtrodden exterior blends seamlessly with the environment around it.
The People's Champion: Salik Zaki's 2005 Scion xA
Written by Jordan Lenssen. Photos by Joshua Sweeney (Shoot For Details) | 23 March 2014 Salik Zaki’s journey to the top of the Tuner Battlegrounds Competition has been nothing short of determined. Entering into the first-ever Tuner Battlegrounds competition, the kid from Boston was about to embark on a yearlong competition against the top 64 tuner cars from throughout North America with dreams of going big. His Scion xA is a definite break from the ordinary.

We Embark on a Road Trip to the Canadian Grand Prix
With contributions by Sebastien Bell and Sam McEachern Mechanics have made their last-minute checks, drivers circulate sur la piste managing tire and brake temperatures, engineers confirm strategies; cars stage on the starting grid, the dissonant cacophony of twenty 1.6-liter V6 hybrid Formula 1 engines spooling reverberates through the grandstands as five red lights illuminate sequentially… Hosted on Montreal’s Île Notre-Dame since 1978, the Grand Prix Du Canada has always been a special...
