Jordan White

My goal is to become a journalist who works in storytelling, specifically in film and television production. From an early age, I have always been captivated by the visual aspects of creating narratives and shaping cultural norms. My time in school has helped tone my skills in writing, research and multimedia production which has helped my understanding of crafting stories. Auburn University at Montgomery offered me many hands-on experiences with creating videos in classes like Video Production, working in broadcast for AUMLive and being the photographer for the AUMnibus. I also got the inspiration to start a podcast with a friend of mine called Empowher. All of our episodes are through AUM, but I enjoyed making each episode with different classmates. All of these made me love and appreciate the work that goes into broadcast journalism. I also got to learn how to navigate the fast-paced environment that goes on in broadcast journalism which helped me meet deadlines. My creativity and commitment have positioned me to become an exceptional future journalist who intends to inform and entertain my audience.
