Josephine Walker’s Biography

Josephine prides herself on being a storyteller and interviewer well-versed in creating digital, broadcast, and social media content. She most recently reported on Capital Hill, covering national politics for the Thomson Reuters newswire.

Josephine received her Master's in Journalism from Northwestern University, specializing in Social Justice Journalism. She served as an NU Campus Ambassador and as the 2023 Medill-Reuters-NABJ Fellow. She received her Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.

She has previously worked for NBCU’s Meet The Press and more recently chronicled capitalism for Bloomberg News' Wealth team, tracking and reporting on changes in the fortunes of billionaires across the globe.

She's also reported on the Virginia General Assembly for VCU's Capital News Service. In this capstone newswire course, she wrote articles for clients such as the Associated Press and The Washington Post. She also freelanced for various publications and made a documentary on Afghan refugees resettling in Virginia.

Josephine is always looking for new and exciting opportunities that allow her to combine her love of writing with politics. She hopes to one day write stories for an innovative, diverse multimedia outlet.

In her free time, she enjoys debating with her friends, playing with her cat, Iris West Allen, and making charcuterie boards with her roommate, Malayna.
