Advancing Budget Resolution
On Thursday, I voted to advance the Budget Resolution for Fiscal Year 2027 as the best option to ensure the SAVE America Act will be passed in full, not just in part. While there were elements in the package many of us sought spending offsets for (still seeking to be accomplished in another measure), this package is designed with the U.S. Senate in mind.

Senate should stop funding failure, repeal green subsidies
The “one big, beautiful bill” has cleared the House and now sits with the Senate. We are hopeful that senators will stick to the House’s framework and deliver a real repeal of green energy giveaways, such as wind and solar subsidies. With wind and solar lobbyists now descending on the Senate, the gains that were made in the House are now in jeopardy of being lost if lawmakers do not hold the line. We are hopeful that the Senate will hold that line.

One of the first critical steps in this mission was his commitment to appointing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

To Solve Inflation, Heed the Founding Fathers’ Advice
Earlier this month, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reported that, at our current rate of spending, annual interest payments on the debt are expected to exceed the cost of our nation’s entire defense budget in 2024. The CBO also predicts that the annual deficit will reach $2.6 trillion by 2034, and the national debt will exceed $50 trillion. Plea agreements are generally straightforward.

The U.S. House of Representatives left Washington July 27 for its lengthy summer recess having only passed one of 12 spending bills required to fund the government for the upcoming fiscal year beginning Oct. 1. We need a plan to fix America's financial mess
There is a biblical admonition that the borrower is a slave to the lender, which is why generations have been warned privately and publicly about excessive debt. The U.S. government should take note. Recent history proves that unchecked deficit spending and excessive debt lead to severe consequences.
