Why did you become a journalist?

journalism have always personal contacts of famous personalities of all the fields including education, administration, sports persons, entertainment, political entities and many famous persons in their field

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I was the editor of my school paper and got picked up by my local newspaper as an intern. I knew I wanted to be a journalist, but my parents couldn’t afford college. I became a graphic designer with training the paper provided, then art director, and eventually Associate Editor of a magazine. It took 35 years to get there, but at least I did

What's the best pitch you ever got?

Be very short. Nobody has time for your Tolstoy-esque three-page email pitch. Keep it minimal.

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

Seeing the worst in something is not always totally wrong. Sometimes, the best and most straightforward way to learn is by seeing examples that don't work. It gives you the necessary reality check.This is particularly true when you discover the process of crafting pitches that could help you land PR features. It's easy to get lost in the ocean of information telling you what makes a good pitch and what a bad one looks like. However, you can't entirely rely on theory and concepts concerning PR. Nor can you depend on your writing abilities.You have to understand what your recipient wants and needs for their audience!For instance, the one you are pitching may need someone who can inspire their audience and provide value to their publication.
