How is social media changing news?

Social media has helped journalists create trust with the public and the audience they're writing news for.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Via email please.

What's your favorite social network?

Instagram and Twitter.

Who do you wish followed you?

I wish Nikole Hannah-Jones followed me. I value and look up to her investigative reporting on civil rights and racial injustice.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Yes! I was a staff writer and editor.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I'm particularly proud of my human interest story on slain Brooklyn teacher's aide Ethan Holder.

When's the best time to pitch you?

Weekday mornings are the best time to pitch.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

I'm probably out with friends trying new bars or restaurants around NYC.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

I enjoy reading the New York Times and The Atlantic.
