In a good way it's delivering news at lightning fast speed, this allows issues that would normally be repressed to quickly come to light

Why did you become a journalist?
I realized that in my field (marine biology) presenting a mountain of evidence did less to sway people than a really passionate article

Just ask, you'd be surprised how many placed would welcome you aboard by just asking.

So far no single one really stands above the others

Asking me to write a feature article promoting a destination as a new fishing destination which I knew was just rubbish and a cash grab

Hiking, camping or fishing

Peter Payne's stuff at J-List is always a pleasure to read. Southern Culture on the Fly is great too
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
It's all hippie nature lovers (outdoor articles) and all nerds that can't get girlfriends (anime articles)
