What was your first job as a journalist?
Intern on a daily public radio global affairs show.

Yes, when I was a kid.

More noise, more rumor, more vigilance required in a shorter period of time.

I don't really get pitched.

Lots.

Twitter for the entertainment value.

Why did you become a journalist?
There weren't any other jobs out there I felt I was up for.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My militia story. I really felt like I showed people something they hadn't seen before.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Hustle and focus tight on what you want to do.
What's your favorite drink?
Coffee with cream.

A bar or the movies.
