The origin of dark lane on sunspot’s light bridge
Abstract Light bridges (LBs), embedded in sunspots, appear as elongated narrow bright features, in contrast to the surrounding dark sunspot umbra or penumbra. Under high-resolution observations, dark lanes were reported along the spine of LBs. Although numerical modeling explains the basic physical properties of LBs , how and where the dark lanes form remain incomprehensible from the observational aspect.

Transient rotation of photospheric vector magnetic fields associated with a solar flare
Two major flare ribbons are identified in the core area of the flare. The eastward-moving ribbon resides in the area of positive magnetic polarity and the westward-moving ribbon propagates in the region with negative magnetic polarity. We focus on the eastern ribbon, where azimuth angle increases are much more obvious.
Unprecedented Fine Structure of a Solar Flare Revealed by the 1.6 m New Solar Telescope
The cross-sectional widths of flare ribbons, flare loops and brightenings at the footpoints of coronal rain in this case are mostly in the range of 80–200 km, well below the resolution of most current instruments used for flare studies. Then an important question is whether the loops/brightenings detected by NST/VIS in this study represent a true physical spatial scale of the energy transport mechanism.
