My first official job was as a production assistant/on-air talent at Gol TV
Have you ever used a typewriter?
WAYYYY back when... back when I was like 10, 11. Now what I have is the Tom Hanks app on my tablet.
How is social media changing news?
Gives more immediacy, access... but also rewards the one that breaks it first, not the one that offers the best coverage.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Lois Lane...
What does it mean to be a journalist?
A labor of love. Something that I wish I would have gotten earlier into. Maybe I could have started my career better, but has been great.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Depends. If it is for television or video, yes.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Everything from colored pencils, rulers and sketchbooks to tablets.

Face to face...
Who do you wish followed you?
People that enjoy my content. People that disagree with me. Individuals that like to learn and want to teach.
Why did you become a journalist?
Was interested in doing some writing while studying in Buenos Aires and then eventually had an opportunity to do some work over at Gol TV.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
NO.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My writing has decreased since I have worked in television. So, not much as of late. I am focusing more on TV and interviews.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Have a voice. Establish your own identity and show the world why you are unique. Work very hard and love the journey.
When's the best time to pitch you?
NO such thing as a bad time. I just can't guarantee an immediate answer.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
Still waiting on that one. I have been the one doing the pitching to get work.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
"Can you run this website for me? It's for exposure. It's a fulltime job but I don't have any money to pay you."
What's your favorite drink?
A nice geisha coffee or a bulletproof.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
With my family, gym or coffee shop.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
Have no favorite. LIke to read books and listen to podcasts.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
All we care about is sports.
