I can spend hours looking at the sky and the ever-changing clouds. Especially, I love sunsets. They make me smile inside. Maybe because of this emotional attachment or just because of a visual pleasure, a few years back I started putting more emphasis on the sky of my landscape paintings. At first I was terrified of painting clouds. Once on canvas, they never looked as I “painted” them in my head; most of the time my painted clouds appeared very amateurish, kind of childish. But I kept trying.

In the video I explain that this recipe originated from a friends grandmother who is now passed. I first tasted it at my sister's bridal shower and I was like Eureka! The chicken and egg in one salad. Brilliant, I thought. I still do to this day. Never again will I be content with just Chicken Salad or just Egg Salad. To me an artist is a person who can take something mundane make it extraordinary. But it is the Eve of Mother's Day and I don't have all the regular ingredients so I start improvising.

On a sunny day the light of the sun is warm and bright and makes colors warmer and more intense. The light of the sun does not make things only lighter, it makes them yellower too. So to show that a patch of grass is in sunlight, the color needs to be lighter and warmer. On the same note, if the sunlight is red or blueish, every object in the scene will have some of that color reflected on it. In overcast days all colors are duller and shifts in value are less noticeable.
