We designed and conducted this systematic review and meta-analysis following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) 2020 [16]. The protocol for our meta-analysis and systematic review was registered and recorded in PROSPERO (registration no. CRD42024562523). Following the PICOS method, the inclusion criteria were as follows: P (Participants): Adult patients (age ≥ 18 years) diagnosed with gastric cancer and undergoing gastric cancer surgery.
