How is social media changing news?

For me, social media is opening up new channels for video and interactive journalism beyond traditional television broadcast news.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

As a social video journalist, I film on iPhone and edit using Adobe Premiere Pro, and build graphics in After Effects and Canva.

Why did you become a journalist?

I'm passionate about storytelling, using language and media powerfully, and helping write the first draft of history.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

I'm usually out and about exploring parks, coffee shops, and scenic residential streets in Center City, Philadelphia.
