The AI Productivity Paradox: Why Aren’t More Workers Using ChatGPT?
The real barrier isn’t technical skills — it’s time to think Despite the transformative potential of tools like ChatGPT, most knowledge workers I’ve spoken to don’t use it at all. Those who do primarily stick to basic tasks like summarization. Only a little over 5% of ChatGPT’s user base pays for plus — a small fraction of potential professional users — suggesting a scarcity of power users leveraging AI for complex, high-value work.

What Makes a True AI Agent? Rethinking the Pursuit of Autonomy

What Makes a True AI Agent? Rethinking the Pursuit of Autonomy
The tech world is obsessed with AI agents. From sales agents to autonomous systems, companies like Salesforce and Hubspot claim to offer game changing AI agents. Yet, I have yet to see a compelling truly agentic experience built from LLMs. The market is full of botshit, and if the best Salesforce can do is say their new agent performs better than a publishing house’s previous chatbot, that’s disappointingly unimpressive.
The DIY Path to AI Product Management: Picking a Starter Project
Building real-world skills through hands-on trial and error. The engaging discussions sparked by my recent blog post, “We Need to Raise the Bar for AI Product Managers,” highlighted a shared passion for advancing the field of AI product management. Many current and aspiring PMs have since reached out, asking how they can learn more about AI on their path to becoming an AI product manager.
We Need to Raise the Bar for AI Product Managers
How to Stop Blaming the ‘Model’ and Start Building Successful AI Products Product managers are responsible for deciding what to build and owning the outcomes of their decisions. This applies to all types of products, including those powered by AI. However, for the last decade it’s been common practice for PMs to treat AI models like black boxes, deflecting responsibility for poor outcomes onto model developers. PM: I don’t know why the model is doing that, ask the model developer.
Aligning Sales and Marketing in B2B SaaS Startups: A Blueprint for Success
Aligning sales and marketing has been somewhat of a joke since before “Glengarry Glen Ross” was written in the 1980’s and then immortalized on the silver screen in the 1990’s. The competition goes way beyond the memes. Nowadays, when it comes to B2B SaaS there may be less outright hostility between marketing and sales. But that doesn’t mean there is infinite cooperation between the two departments either.
What Exactly Is an “Eval” and Why Should Product Managers Care?
How to stop worrying and love the data Definition: eval (short for evaluation). A critical phase in a model’s development lifecycle. The process that helps a team understand if an AI model is actually doing what they want it to. The evaluation process applies to all types of models from basic classifiers to LLMs like ChatGPT. The term eval is also used to refer to the dataset or list of test cases used in the evaluation.
I Made a Better Testing Plan for Google Gemini in Just 30 Minutes Original
Testing models: an unglamorous yet critical part of AI product management “We definitely messed up on the image generation. I think it was mostly due to just not thorough testing.” — Sergey Brin, referring to Google’s unsuccessful rollout of Gemini on March 2, 2024. Google wanted to get Gemini to market quickly. But there’s a big difference between reduced testing for velocity, and what happened with Gemini.

Using ChatGPT to increase my productivity as a product manager
I'm usually a skeptic when it comes to new productivity tools. I've also been working on machine learning powered products for most of my career, so it takes a lot to impress me. But two weeks into using ChatGPT both for work and personal projects, I can say it's already exceeded my expectations and revolutionized my workflow. Note that I have been using both ChatGPT-3.5 and (as of this week) ChatGPT-4.
Looking Back and Moving Forward
Every organization benefits from thoughtful reflection with the end of one year and the beginning of the next. Waggl is no different, and as we look ahead to the lofty goals we’ve set for 2018, we’re also reflecting on the progress we’ve made and the lessons we’ve learned in the past year. 2017 was a remarkable year of growth within the Waggl organization. For the third year in a row we doubled the number of members on our team.
Analytics.usa.gov: Now with Agency-Specific Dashboards
Starting today, you’ll see a dropdown from the main analytics.usa.gov page that allows you to view the same dashboard, but filtered for websites that are administered by one of 10 specific agencies: These dashboard pages allow for greater insight into how the public interacts with specific agency websites as a complement to the aggregated view available at analytics.usa.gov.

And as a result of a new location feature on the expanded analytics.usa.gov, you are free to check for yourself how many current users are from outside the country, anytime you’d like.
