First Daycare Bike Commute in the Burbs
Did you have a “first” this week too? First bike commute on the trail-a-bike (thanks Paolo Urizar) and to our new school! Most importantly figured out how to avoid Lake Cook Road over the highway. We had a blast on this gorgeous 82 degree fall day. so we bike commuted last year too but it felt like a real accomplishment getting over the highway at Lake Cook (avoided it). Tags: ▶ Reply to This
Another story of Nazi Resistance By Bike
The other one is here: https://candlesholocaustmuseum.org/curious-george.html
Struggling former city biker, now suburban mom.
Are there any parents here who live in the burbs and still sort of ride like you did in the city before you had kids? I’m struggling... I’m on the North Shore and although we Ride close to our house, I’m struggling so much with the timing, setup and my work and daughters schedule. It’s faster in most situations to drive which is super different too.
Short parents longer distance getup
Anyone in the 4 foot 10 stature like me? I have a Taga which my 3.5 year old and I love for short rides but I think it’s a little too big for me. I have to stretch a little too much and I’m wondering if I should go back to a trailer for long rides. Short people, what’s your longer distance getup? Tags: ▶ Reply to This

Celebs on bikes
I think it would be fun to assemble a picture/video archive representing movie-stars, musicians, politicians, etc ... on a BIKE. My pick is from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969). Pictured here is Paul Newman and Katharine Ross. One of the great classic scenes of Hollywood. Any more contributions to this thread are welcomed. Tags: ▶ Reply to This
Craigs list misssed connections
A week or so ago a feed from the Craigs List missed connection was added to the home page (just under the photos). It lists the last 10 ads that have the word "bike" in them. It is a test and it has been a week, have you looked at it? Tags: ▶ Reply to This
