Global research trends and emerging themes of ketamine in perioperative neurocognitive disorders: a bibliometric analysis
Abstract Background: Within the contemporary perioperative neurocognitive disorder (PND) framework, postoperative neurocognitive outcomes include postoperative delirium, delayed neurocognitive recovery, and postoperative neurocognitive disorder. Interest in ketamine and its enantiomers has increased, but the clinical literature on perioperative neurocognitive outcomes remains heterogeneous.
Dexmedetomidine as a potential neuroprotective agent against Alzheimer’s disease: molecular mechanisms and therapeutic perspectives
Abstract Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by extracellular deposition of amyloid-β (Aβ), intracellular hyperphosphorylation of microtubule-associated protein tau and chronic neuroinflammation. At present, effective disease-modifying therapies for AD remain limited. Dexmedetomidine (Dex), a highly selective α2-adrenergic receptor agonist, has been reported in recent years to exert significant neuroprotective effects.

Activin a regulates vascular formation and stabilization in direct coculture of dental pulp stem cells and endothelial cells
INTRODUCTION Dental pulp is a highly vascularized and innervated tissue encapsulated in dentine, which attains oxygen and nutrients, exchanges metabolites and transmits sensations via the neurovascular bundle connecting to host counterparts from the periapical area (Rombouts et al., 2017). Traumatic dental injury may crush the neurovascular bundle and restrict blood flow, leading to pulp necrosis and subsequent root development disruption (Cui et al., 2021; Yu & Abbott, 2007).
Peripheral zone thickness in preoperative MRI is predictive of Trifecta achievement after Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP). - Abdominal Radiology
Abstract To investigate various anatomical features of the prostate using preoperative MRI and patients’ clinical factors to identify predictors of successful Holmium:YAG laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP). 71 patients who had received HoLEP and undergone a 3.0-T prostate MRI scan within 6 months before surgery were retrospectively enrolled.
