Current Advances in the Photoconversion of Plastics: the Catalysts and Reaction Pathways
Plastic waste has caused severe global environmental pollution and health issues due to the high production rate and lack of proper disposal technology. Traditional methods to deal with plastic waste, such as incineration and landfilling, are deemed unsustainable and energy-intensive. A promising alternative is the photocatalytic conversion of plastic waste, using sunlight as a sustainable and carbon-neutral energy source to break down plastic waste under ambient pressure and low temperatures.
Underwater Sound Speed Field Forecasting Based on the Least Square Support Vector Machine
1. Introduction In the marine environment, acoustic signals serve as the primary signal carriers of underwater positioning, navigation, timing, and communication (PNTC) systems [1,2,3]. However, the propagation speed of underwater acoustic signals has complex characteristics in terms of spatial–temporal dynamics [4], which leads to the bending effect of the signal propagation path.
CLIC3 interacts with NAT10 to inhibit N4-acetylcytidine modification of p21 mRNA and promote bladder cancer progression - Cell Death & Disease
Abstract Chromatin accessibility plays important roles in revealing the regulatory networks of gene expression, while its application in bladder cancer is yet to be fully elucidated. Chloride intracellular channel 3 (CLIC3) protein has been reported to be associated with the progression of some tumors, whereas the specific mechanism of CLIC3 in tumor remains unclear.

Comparative study on genomic and epigenomic profiles of retinoblastoma or tuberous sclerosis complex via nanopore sequencing and a joint screening framework | Cancer Gene Therapy
Abstract Recurrence and extraocular metastasis in advanced intraocular retinoblastoma (RB) are still major obstacles for successful treatment of Chinese children. Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is a very rare, multisystemic genetic disorder characterized by hamartomatous growth. In this study, we aimed to compare genomic and epigenomic profiles with human RB or TSC using recently developed nanopore sequencing, and to identify disease-associated variations or genes.

BN-Embedded Cycloarenes: One-Pot Borylation Synthesis, Photoelectric Properties, and Application in Perovskite Solar Cells
Incorporating heteroatoms, such as nitrogen, oxygen, and/or sulfur atoms, into cycloarenes can effectively regulate their molecular geometries and (opto)electronic properties. However, the rarity of cycloarenes and heterocycloarenes limits the further exploitation of their applications. Herein, we designed and synthesized the first examples of boron and nitrogen (BN)-doped cycloarenes (BN-C1 and BN-C2) via one-pot intramolecular electrophilic borylation of imine-based macrocycles.
Synthesis of a Dicyclohepta[a,g]heptalene‐Containing Polycyclic Conjugated Hydrocarbon and the Impact of Non‐Alternant Topologies
Graphical Abstract A polycyclic conjugated hydrocarbon (1) has been synthesized with four contiguous heptagons that form a “Z” shape in the central π-electron skeleton. The inner heptalene unit in 1 shows antiaromatic properties. PCH 1 presents narrow HOMO/LUMO energy gap as a result of the HOMO and LUMO displaying a significantly asymmetric distribution.
