What was your first job as a journalist?
I decided to join the Virginia Tech student paper in order to express my political opinions. The Collegiate Times got me interested in news.

unfortunately no
How is social media changing news?
It is becoming increasingly normal to make mistakes. News has to come out faster, thereby bypassing copywriters and fact-checkers.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
my piece on America's use of torture. It took around 50 hours of work and was incredibly distressing, but I'm proud of what I learned.
