Jon Hill’s Biography

I'm a New York-based journalist specializing in business and finance. As the senior banking reporter for Law360, I cover litigation, regulation and other legal matters related to financial services.

I have also written for outlets like The Economist and TheStreet.com, and I spent nearly five years assisting author Sebastian Mallaby on his 2016 biography of former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, titled The Man Who Knew. The book was named the 2016 Financial Times & McKinsey Business Book of the Year and earned me a mention in the New York Times review. I graduated with a degree in political science and economics from Columbia University, where I edited the student magazine The Blue & White and interned at ABC News, Gothamist, and North Carolina Public Radio.
