What does it mean to be a journalist?
To inform the public with as much honesty and integrity as humanly possible. It is to give them hope, inspire, and ensure they are informed.

Why did you become a journalist?
I wanted to tell unheard stories that were about more than celebrities.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did not but I worked on an editorial board in college. I was in charge of editing all submissions in the humanities genre.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I wrote a story on a fellow actor that wasn't published but I have never been more proud of making her life and struggles beautiful
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
It isn't glamorous but when you get a chance to write a piece that speaks to your heart it makes everything else worth it.
