I've been a passionate follower of the gaming industry since my infancy and trying to finish Legacy of the Wizard and Castlevania 2 on the original NES (only managed to complete the latter). Now that I have a soapbox to voice my opinions, I have been discussing the merits of video games of all shapes and sizes, from the smallest one-man indie darlings to AAA titles of yearly franchises. Product reviews are also a growing interest of mine, having recently written a long form review on Qanba's recent Dragon line of arcade sticks.
While my background is predominantly in Japanese developed RPG's and fighting games, I've been trying to broaden my horizons with a wider scope of genres. Even the smallest titles can show some unique charm hidden beneath some rough mechanics.
The past twelve months have been a renaissance of sorts for my writing career. Not only have I begun interviewing major players in the industry, I have also started attending trade shows and traveling to special announcement events on behalf of WCCFtech.
My style of review is to give each and every title that graces my desk a thousand words to focus on their merits and the first impressions. Expanding into video reviews would be of interest once I have the adequate equipment to do so.
