What was your first job as a journalist?
Arts reporter for the Varsity Arts section of the OC Register, covering high school arts.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes! Never for work or school but I have played around on one.
How is social media changing news?
It is making everyone look at things through a multimedia lense. How can this story be shared visually in addition to with words?
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Inform people to the best of our ability and inspire them as much as we can by telling stories that matter.

Why did you become a journalist?
It is very rewarding to connect with other humans and let them tell their stories of passion and impact.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No! My small high school did not have a newspaper.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Write, write, write! The more reps you get, the better. Start a blog, keep a private journal, poems, whatever!
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In the dance studio!
