What was your first job as a journalist?
When I was 16, I wrote for a famous baking blogger. I sent her the WORST pitch email ever, but she paid me to try recipes + review them.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Having the power to make an impact with words and connect people with ideas that matter!
What's your favorite social network?
Tiktok, by far. It's just so easy to get lost on there and discover amazing creators!
Why did you become a journalist?
I remember thumbing through magazines as a kid and imagining how it would feel to be a writer. I still pinch myself that it's reality now!
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Always be willing to put yourself out there! The best opportunities come from unexpected places, so be confident.
What's your favorite drink?
Ooh, tough one — but overall, probably chai!
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Playing ball with my little rescue puppy Peanut, cooking a new recipe, or on a beach (hopefully with a good book!)
