Michael Kaplan’s Biography
I am a journalist based in Brooklyn, NY. I have written for publications that include GQ, Wired and the New York Times Magazine. I work as a senior features writer for the New York Post, am a contributing editor at Cigar Aficionado and write a weekly gambling column for Card Player magazine. My fifth book, "Advantage Players: Inside the Winning World of Casino Virtuosos, Master Strategists, and Mathematical Wizards", was published in 2025. "The Baccarat Machine," originally published in Cigar Aficionado, is being developed into a feature film. I served as consulting producer on "Secrets of the Chippendales Murders," a four-part docu-series available on Hulu.
