Emmanouil M. Karatarakis’s Biography

Emmanouil M. Karatarakis is a journalist covering National Defence issues for “TO VIMA Sunday”, Greece's oldest and largest Sunday newspaper.

He previously served as a Senior Adviser at the Greek Ministries of National Defense and Finance, as well as at the Office of the Vice President of the Government. He has worked as a television producer for the American television network CNBC in London and as a correspondent for the American magazine TIME in Athens.

He is a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London, while he has also served as a member of the Association of American Correspondents in London, the Foreign Press Correspondents Association and currently is a member of the Journalist's Union of Athens Daily Newspapers.

He regularly writes on national security and intelligence issues for American media outlets, while he has also authored studies related to the intelligence field and the operation of the United States intelligence services.

He is a graduate of the London School of Economics.
