Karin Assmann’s Biography

I am a freelancer and producer of stories across the U.S. I've spent years as correspondent for Spiegel TV (http://kompassmp.com/clips), television affiliate of Der Spiegel (http://spiegel.de), the German news magazine. Started in local news, some radio, print, online and then television.

I'm also an assistant professor of journalism at the University of Georgia (https://grady.uga.edu/faculty/assmann). My academic research is about newsrooms, my freelance work (May - August) is about everything and everyone.
