Writing for a business column on women in business.

Yes, took typing in High School and I wasn't very good. My options for the typing pool or as a secretary seemed greatly diminished.

Everyone is a citizen journalist. News has become opinion journalism.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means asking questions and questioning everything. There is no room for complacency.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I can run a camera set-up in our TV studio or hang out in my PJ's writing with my Mac on my lap. I love technology and try to embrace it.

Why did you become a journalist?
I wanted to elevate the narrative on stories that matter.

I did not. I was more of a drama nerd.

I am proud of my Op-Ed work. That is my true passion.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Don't let the work of others define you. Your path is your own. Cut down the brush in front of you and keep on hiking up the mountain.
