Interview

How is social media changing news?

In its effort to vet fake news (and election meddling), Facebook now blocks promotion of news IT deems a "political ad." It's bad at it.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Wordpress CMS, Twitter, Linkedin, Adobe Audition, Zoom.

When's the best time to pitch you?

Anytime is a good time if you've got a great story.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

At someone else's computer.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

Food journalists are: vegan, anti-industrial-Big-Food-hating advocates, with posh, dilettante appetites of all kinds.
