Cash-free London? - City News
Spend a few days in London and it’s easy to come away with a simple conclusion: cash is dead. You tap yourself into the tube network, onto buses, through cafes and supermarkets. Increasingly, you’ll see signs at counters saying ‘card only’. If you try to pay with notes on public transport, you’ll quickly run into trouble: buses haven’t accepted cash for years, and the underground is designed around contactless payment and Oyster cards.
London's emotional graffiti artist
You’ve probably seen them. Across London, small, handwritten notes have been appearing on walls and pavements. In white lowercase, they offer brief, confessional messages to passersby, all of them signed off with the same tag: @LosingLxve. Graffiti is nothing new in London. The answers given by designers ranged from ‘each use case is so contextually specific’ to ‘it’s not because language isn’t important, it’s because design and code are more impactful to a team’s ability to ship product’.
5 Building Blocks To Create A Framework For Storytelling
There’s been a lot of talk about “storytelling” in the past couple of years. Suddenly, everyone’s a storyteller. It’s become the buzzword du jour. Great storytelling is the currency of attention in the digital age. It is a cornerstone of a great customer experience: if you want my attention as a customer, you’d better provide me with the content worth my time, all the time. Yikes. All the time! Given our daily addiction to devices, that’s a lot of time to fill with good content.
