Katie Wedell’s Biography

I'm currently part of a trailblazing group known as the Cox Media Group Ohio Breaking News Team.

Headquartered in Dayton, we cover 13 counties in Southwest Ohio, producing news stories for the web, newspaper, TV and radio.

My work appears in the Dayton Daily News, on WHIO News Talk Radio, CBS affiliate WHIO-TV, and their corresponding websites.

Everyone on our team is a multimedia journalist – reporting, writing, shooting photos and video, recording radio ready audio.

I've been with Cox Media Group since 2007, previously working as an online content producer and a general assignment reporter for the Dayton Daily News.

I'm a 2007 graduate of Miami University (Ohio) where I majored in journalism and English literature and worked for The Miami Student newspaper.

I'm originally from the Chicago suburbs and am a diehard Chicago sports fan.
