Why did you become a journalist?
I became a journalist because I wanted to write the stories that were relatable to me and my everyday circumstances.

I did! I was the head interview specialist for the CT Visionary at Cass Tech high school in Detroit.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I'm most proud of my story on how respectability politics don't respect Black women.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Make sure that your heart is in it. Learn to block out the haters.
