I'm a Nigerian Journalist, Professional Fact-Checker, Multimedia/Digital Editor, Social Media & StraComm Expert, Content Dev/Web Designer and Media Trainer & Consultant.

Currently, I'm the Editor of The Continental, having previously served as Editor of The FactCheckHub, the fact-checking operation of the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (The ICIR).

Until April 2020, I was a Deputy Online Editor at Media Trust Limited (publisher of the Daily Trust newspaper titles, Aminiya, Kilimanjaro & Teen Trust), where I have being managing the newspaper's digital platforms for about 10 years which has witnessed ‘organic growth’ of its online fans from about 200,000 on Facebook to about 1.3million and Twitter (X) followers of about 100,000 to over 1.2million.

Also, I’ve been involved in Fact-Checking projects in Nigeria including the [Crosscheck Nigeria] (https://crosschecknigeria.org) as well as wrote and published several fact-checking stories on www.dailytrust.com

My experience in news reporting propelled the Daily Trust to award me an Integrity Award in 2019 and had my report: [The long, winding return of Faka-Fiki trains] (http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/feature/the-long-winding-return-of-faka-fiki-trains/7110.html) won “Best Feature Article of the month” in 2011 and awarded me “Reporter of the month” in August 2015, among other feats.

I have passion for journalism, especially one with social media platforms to interact with the public on salient national and international issues, helping them to tell their own stories and raising awareness about issues that concerns them toward improving their standard of living vis-à-vis the society.

I'm well versed in media and fact-checking journalism using necessary technologies to tell stories via the internet.
