Have you ever used a typewriter?

I'm old so...yes. I learned to type on actual IBM typewriters.

What's your favorite social network?

Twitter is the only one I use regularly so it's gotta be Twitter. Technically that also makes it my least favorite.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I wrote about sports, politics and movies for my high school newspaper.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Write. Follow your curiosity. Ask questions. Ask more questions. Write.

When's the best time to pitch you?

If you're calling or texting, business hours -- 9AM to 5PM. Email anytime.

What's your favorite drink?

Red wine. My recent favorite is a blend from Portugal called Paxis.
