What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means that I can share the stories of others for all to enjoy.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
As being able to capture the human interest element of an athlete along with their sports story.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I stopped using recorders and transcription software. I prefer to write everything down during an interview in my own chicken scratch.

Why did you become a journalist?
By accident. I wanted to spread the word of the LGBT sports movement and then I discovered my stories were being shared all over the world.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
A few stories about LGBT swimmers from Uganda who wanted to travel Edmonton for the IGLA World Championships.
