It's making it more difficult to discern what news is accurate and what is fake

What does it mean to be a journalist?

A good journalist is able to accurately report on conditions of interest to his readers. He's also a good analyst with an excellent background on the topics he covers so that he can provide an informed and hopefully accurate presentation when he writes.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

No preferences. I will consider any legal and ethical pitch.

What's your favorite social network?

Facebook and Rumble

College students, science professionals, legal professionals, academic professionals

Yes I was a reporter for my high school newspaper

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

As an investigative journalist I have participated in research and writing for a book trilogy titled "Slaughter of the Dissidents.". The trilogy exposes rampant viewpoint discrimination, ongoing prejudice, curtailment of freedom of speech for those who challenge the notion of darwinian evolution. The trilogy is a detailed and very well documented expose about the decades long practice of denying Darren Dissidents the right to be heard in academic and scientific settings.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Look for the hidden angles that no one else seems to be covering and then dig into it. Find out why that angle is important.

When's the best time to pitch you?

In the early morning between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.

What's your favorite drink?

Fresh squeezed orange juice

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Outdoors in or on the water

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

Scientific American, Science, many others in my fields of interest

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

The most common misperception I have found with respect to evolutionary science is the notion that there are no compelling counter arguments and evidence.
