Kacey Frederick
Kacey Frederick’s Biography
I am a writer who wishes to use my skills not only to learn more and improve my craft, but to share my insights with others as well.
For three years now, I have served as the assistant editor to two trade publications on the automotive repair and service industry. I curate daily content, create long form pieces for monthly print issues, and manage social media channels and newsletters. I also love to pick up projects writing on local events impacting the community.
I began my career at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, where I gained four years of training in writing, research, and editing before receiving a bachelor's in English with a minor in philosophy. During this time I completed many works spanning from critical analysis of media to historical research, in addition to interning as a data collector for the Periodical Poetry Index.
Following my studies, I freelanced for Ozarks Farm and Neighbor, a publication about people working in agriculture. I interviewed subjects, took photographs of them and their work, and shared their stories with others.
